We were big fans of Intermeida until the pricing went extremely high and support and uptime fell though the floor. We just recovered from no inbound email service for 4 days. It took 2 days before the Russiun support team to acknolege a problem and then 2 days to think about it. The previous outage we were down for 3 days and they had to restore from tape (So much for EMC relablity) Pricing for sharepoint is over $400 per month and so slow you can watch paint dry. We are looking for a new providor and hopefully get off this mess asap.
Mi8, a division of Apptix, was founded in 1997 in New York City by Huw Thomas, Dave Castellani, Chris McConnell, and Azfar Haider. Mi8 was acquired by Apptix on September 7, 2006.
Mi8's core mission is to transform Microsoft Exchange, a sophisticated messaging and collaboration system, into easy-to-use subscription services. Mi8 is not simply a "hosting" company - hosting companies function as an extension of your corporate facilities, with highly redundant data centers - but instead Mi8 functions as an extension of your Information Technology team, managing and monitoring our sophisticated messaging and collaboration infrastructure, so you don't have to.
Instead of expending resources building and maintaining a high performance, highly available messaging system, your IT team can be focused where they belong: on customer-facing and revenue-generating systems. In other words, while messaging is a "mission critical" system for most organizations today, is not a core business function of your company. It is, however, Mi8's core business function, and we believe we do it better than anyone in the world.

Abysmal Experience. Critical Business Outages. Customer Service (when you actually get someone) sounds as i he/she works for someone other than Mi8...no idea whats going on

400 Mailboxes with mi8. AWFUL! Support emails blackholed. Riduculus hold times when calling "support". Go with someone else if you value your time.

Avoid like the plague. We've found their technical support to be non-existent. Had a MUCH better experience with Mailstreet.com. Consider yourself warned.

All I can say is "avoid". We have had IMAPS promised (never delivered), and about 6 outages lasting more than half a day in 18 months. Their support is dreadful - I seem to end up explaining basic email principles four hours after raising initial calls. The last support call you can read about at http://www.smop.co.uk/blog/index.php/2007/09/24/dreadful-support-and-mi8com/

When they were just Mi8, their service quality and response time was MUCH better. now as a division of Aptix, they take forever to answer the Customer Service number and days to respond to email inquiries. I have even submitted inquiries by email that they NEVER even acknolwedged, let alone solved.

They have done a good job. I can count the number of issues we have had with them on one hand.

Their pricing structure is a bit different than their competition so it makes it difficult to do a good comparison (I don’t know if they do this for a reason) but it seems like I’m getting good value and they do offer a lot of flexibility in some of their plans.
